Its all very well having secure windows and doors but what happens if fire breaks out and your only means of escape is blocked?
Its vital that if you lock your windows
with a key, that everyone is aware where it is kept and that its in easy
access, close to the correct window.
Furthermore, in the event of a fire would everybody manage to get through a standard casement window?
Maybe children, pets, athletes and slim framed adults wouldn't have too many problems, but what about the rest of the population?
How would large framed adults and the elderly manage?
With this in mind Saje UPVC double glazing provides the "French" casement window where both "sashes" can be opened creating a very large area to escape through.
From the exterior the double glazing window looks like a normal casement but it has two sashes in a similar way to a standard French door, one being a master which can be open normally and the other being the slave which would be opened in the event of a fire, allowing a much wider gap to escape through.
